…and a warm welcome to everyone reading my blog!
I’m Caroline, a 30 year old, food-obsessed vegetarian from the UK. I currently live in Bristol with my husband, Andy, and our pampered pets, Blossom the cat and Marin the rabbit.
This blog is a culmination of years of cooking, swapping recipes with family and friends and generally just loving food. I shared the odd recipe on Instagram on my personal account and was always inundated with people telling me I should write a cookbook or start a food blog. It wasn’t something I thought much about till recently as I have been taking diet and nutrition more seriously (more about that in future blog posts!).
I’m a strict vegetarian and all my recipes are veggie, with a huge amount of them either vegan or easily veganised. As my husband is not veggie or vegan, I’ve become an expert in making sure my meat-free meals are tasty and satisfying, to keep everyone happy.
I hope that this blog will enable me to share recipes with veggies and vegans, but also those of you who are veggie-curious who just want to reduce your overall meat consumption and eat a more plant-based diet. This blog is for all of you.
My recipes tend to be speedy eats that won’t take up a lot of time in the kitchen and can be broadly split into the following categories:
- Quick breakfasts
- Lazy breakfasts and brunches
- Packed lunches
- Quick meals
- Meals that take a bit more effort
- Puds
- Baking
